In mid-2006, during the transition between Fr. Ricardo Gomez MG and Fr. Raul Nava Trujillo MG., a family from Spain visited Our Lady of Guadalupe parish with the intention of building a chapel in devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes. This family was taken to St. Jude Thaddeus Center Olympic and shown the piece of land. They agreed to contribute towards building the chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes.

In 2008, after post-election violence, Our Lady of Lourdes welcomed Christians of St. Bakhita outstation that formerly was under St. Michael Parish; Otiende (former Parish and Guadalupe Missionaries). Since then, Our Lady of Lourdes has continued growing in its evangelization mission and is currently a Sub-Parish with a multi purpose complex.
