Brief Narration of the Apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe
On Saturday, 9th December 1531, Blessed Mother Mary appeared to Saint Juan Diego at Tepeyac Hill in Mexico City. That morning, when Juan Diego reached the Tepeyac Hill while heading to church at Tlatelolco, he heard beautiful music, and saw a white radiant cloud at the top of the hill. Suddenly, the song stopped and a beautiful, gentle, and graceful woman’s voice called his name, Juanito, Juan Dieguito!

Our Church
Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish is located in Adams Arcade, Kenya and it belongs to the Archdiocese of Nairobi. Guadalupe Parish is organized into two main pastoral regions, namely: Adams Pastoral Region and Kibera Pastoral Region. The Adams' pastoral region consists of Woodley, Kilimani, and Jamuhuri estates. The Kibera Pastoral Region is made up of the following outstations: Our Lady of Lourdes; Olympic (Sub-Parish), St. Luke; Kianda, St. Bhakita; Gatwekira, and St. Thomas; Makina.

The evangelization structure of the Parish is rooted in Small Christian Communities associations, prayer and parish Groups. The parish has three different ministries, namely, Pastoral, Social, and Administration. Each one of these ministries has different departments with the goal of serving mainly the spiritual, pastoral, and social complex realities in our communities.

Support the Parish
Our parish has been a source of hope, offering support and encouragement through challenging times. The parish provides a sanctuary for spiritual and emotional nourishment. Pastoral visits, support groups, and church formation continue to inspire trust in God’s providence. All are welcome to participate actively in our activities. You can join a church group, volunteer your skills or services, participate in charity events, or donate cash, food, wearable clothes, etc, to help our brothers and sisters in need.
